ELY BUENDIA AS A ROCK ICON

Many individuals crave to see Ely even just from a distance, for Pinoy (song magazine) taking few chances to scout some of his idealism for years that he has been painting the OPM canvass with his superb musical strokes.

For so long a time that he has been making and doing his song thing, he has become a legendary musical figure of all times. His musical ingenuity has been continuously making happy and endearing tunes to local Filipino masses.

Their (Eraserheads) music, with due respect to his long time and pioneering group, have been a whistle tune to both young and old or even toothless nanny alike. The Eraserheads with his spearheading wits is a phenomenon to the local music scene with indelible marks left after their soles.

Ely Buendia clears his thoughts for the Iconic issue of Pinoy song magazine. This issue lauds different local musical demigods such as Bamboo, Rico Blanco and Chito Miranda. Now his looking them in front of his face popping few brief grasps 'bout them, “Bamboo-energy and soul, Rico-strength and sensitivity, Chito-fish and balls,” he commenced.

Ely won't get this far if he has a thought so mean, nonetheless years after years and experience after experience says he's the man making a linear vision of the future, “it's only going to get better in the future,” his straight answer, though. Guess, one way of staying adept for the future is to stay foot on the ground, well not literally. He means, staying humble, “my family, friends, and fans keep me grounded,” his “F” factor that gets his feet fettered on solid grounds of humble becoming.

That's why he continues, “I want to inspire the future leaders of the country.” This inquisition did not get him exhausted yet. As he gets older, you know that he's just getting wilder, “the older I get the easier it gets.”

Nonetheless, there are few things that get him a dose of nausea human as he is. He seems fund of making new things and exploring new things. Making same thing repeatedly gives him some blues, “whatever's repetitive makes me sick, like going around in circles,” he asserted. He's known antidote, “if you try new and different things, you'll never get tired.”

You would probably try to check his philosophy about his idealism of his own situation being a rock icon, “rock stardom is an illusion,” however this how an icon sees things from distance, who would bet, but it brought him to where he is now.
